Tom Leonard, was senior VP of global sales at Cone Denim, who officially “checked out” a week earlier (this recording was from July 7, 2021). Tom was a political science major at Lynchburg College, and spent more than 40 years in the denim industry at Avondale and Cone Denim.
After a brief stint in the golf industry, he started with Cone Denim in February of ‘81. He transferred to Chicago, where he became midwest regional sales manager in ‘83. He joined Avondale in ‘87, where he served in various sales roles until ‘99 when he rejoined Cone in various management rolls in Greensboro, North Carolina, but primarily in Kansas City.
