Advance Denim Captures Nature in TENCEL™ Creations
TENCEL™ fibers are environmentally friendly, but a recent fashion show from Advance Denim put eco messaging front and center.
On Oct. 8, the day before Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics, Lenzing Group hosted a seminar themed around “Carbon Zero Concept Leading Green Value Chain Co-creation.” This event showcased the latest TENCEL™ fiber innovations for apparel and home goods.
As part of the senimar, Advance Denim sponsored a runway show centered on denim applications. Titled “Reshape the Future,” the presentation included denim designs that were inspired by smoke, forest, glacier and earth.
The Smoke creations use TENCEL™ Lyocell with REFIBRA™ technology. This fiber innovation replaces some of the wood pulp used in the creation of TENCEL™ with post-industrial and -consumer cotton waste. REFIBRA™ offers fibers that are identical to virgin lyocell with an added circularity story.
Advance used TENCEL™ Modal with Eco Color Technology black in its Forest series, creating ebony garments that are lower impact. Instead of dyeing the modal after the fibers have been turned into yarn, this technology adds pigment to the liquid modal solution before it is spun into fibers. The modal gives the material a sheen, while high stretch fits consumer demand.
The third series, Glacier, is inspired by the clouds, with clothing in cream hues as well as blue and black garments featuring airy design treatments. Taking care of the atmosphere, the garments are made using carbon zero TENCEL™. These fibers feature net-zero emissions due to a combination of production processes that reduce carbon impact and offsets. Complementing the carbon zero fibers are low-impact washing treatments.
Rounding out the show was Advance’s Earth series. To capture the blue sky, Advance used TENCEL™ Modal with Indigo Color technology. Like TENCEL™ Modal Eco Color Technology black, these indigo fibers are spun dyed to create an improved sustainability profile and better colorfastness.
Advance’s runway show highlights the design versatility of TENCEL™ and the impact these fibers have on the planet. Fitting the themes, Lenzing uses responsibly sourced wood that protects forests, and the lyocell and modal fibers are biodegradable to keep clothes out of landfills.

10月8日， Intertextile上海面辅料展（Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics）的前一天，兰精集团举行了一场主题为“零碳理念引领，绿色价值链共创”的研讨会。此次活动展示了采用最新天丝™纤维应用的作品表演秀。
作为研讨会的一部分，前进牛仔赞助举办了一场题为“重塑未来”，着重展示牛仔布应用的时装秀，展示的牛仔布设计作品以烟雾、森林、冰川和地球等自然元素为灵感。
“烟雾”系列作品使用了天丝™莱赛尔x悦菲纤™纤维。这种创新型纤维以工业用后和消费用后的废棉替代了天丝™生产中使用的部分木浆。采用悦菲纤™技术生产的天丝™莱赛尔与标准天丝™莱赛尔纤维毫无二致，不同之处在于它更具可循环性。
前进牛仔在其“森林”系列中选择了黑色的天丝™莫代尔x Eco Color纤维创作出环境影响更小的黑檀色服装。这种技术不是在纤维制成纱线后再进行染色，而是在生产纤维的过程中采用了原液着色技术。采用Eco Color技术加工而成的天丝™莫代尔能为材质赋予光泽，同时又能以高弹特性契合消费者需求。
第三部分“冰川”系列的灵感源自洁白的云朵，作品采用奶油色调以及蓝色和黑色，设计效果轻灵飘逸。为保护大气环境，该系列服装是采用零碳天丝™纤维制作而成。由于结合了减碳生产工艺和碳补偿，这种纤维真正实现了净零排放。在使用零碳纤维的同时，该系列还采用了低环境影响的洗水处理。为这一零碳纤维服装系列更添环保内涵的还有低环境影响的洗水处理工艺。
最后，前进牛仔推出的“地球”系列为这场服装秀完美收官。为表现蓝天之美，前进牛仔选择了采用Indigo Color技术的天丝™莫代尔纤维。同天丝™莫代尔x Eco Color纤维一样，这种天丝™莫代尔x Indigo Color纤维亦采用原液着色，改善了可持续性和色牢度。
