See the Winning Looks from Kingston’s Denim Project
Kingston University’s 12-week Masters Denim Project came to a close with a day-long judging session on April 7.
TENCEL™ was proud to support this project as an industry sponsor, alongside Kingpins Show. Mills Bossa, Candiani Denim, Cone Denim, Denim Prive/Kassim and Hewitt Denim Mills sponsored the project and supplied fabrics to the teams, while sponsor Coats provided threads and trims were provided by sponsor YKK.
The judging panel included Andrew Olah of Olah Inc, Ozge Özsoy of Bossa, Gabriel Magopat of Cone Denim, Danielle Arzaga of Candiani Denim, Chris Hewitt of Hewitt Denim, Arzu Turgay of Coats, Katie Doherty of YKK, and denim specialists Miles Johnson, Sue Barrett, Leanne Jae and Harmony Genovese.
With numerous strong projects to pick from, the judges took more than 45 minutes to arrive at their decision. Group 18 was chosen as the best overall winner. Group 17 took the top prize for womenswear, while group three was named best menswear group. Finally, a special mention was given to group 14.
