Slideshow: The Scene at Denim Première Vision
The denim industry is progressively working to lower its impact. These ethical efforts were on view at Denim Première Vision, held from Nov. 23 to 24 at Superstudio Più in Milan.
Over 2,000 attendees hailing from 50 countries came to the show to see sustainable developments across the production process—from spinning and weaving to manufacturing and finishing. Among the 67 exhibitors were Lenzing’s mill partners including Advance Denim, Bossa, Calik, Kipas and more. Some of our collaborators like sustainable finishing technology firm Jeanologia and chemical and dye company Officina+39 were also on site. Jeanologia displayed garments from our joint Simple Pleasures Sustainable Denim Wardrobe collection, created in partnership with designer Betina Grosser.
This year is Denim Première Vision’s 15-year anniversary, and a cocktail party was held on the first day to celebrate this milestone.
Other events included talks and seminars covering challenges and design guidance, forums on fashion trends and workshops explaining techniques. There was also a Denim Fashion District featuring displays of brands’ ready-to-wear collections that were developed with exhibitors.
