Lenzing Receives Platinum CSR Rating from EcoVadis

At Lenzing, sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy. It influences everything from how we source raw materials to how we engage with our employees and the communities around our facilities.
Our work in this area was recently recognized by sustainability ratings company EcoVadis. Lenzing was awarded platinum status in EcoVadis’ CSR rating for the third time, with a score in the top 1 percent of the 100,000 companies assessed.
EcoVadis’ CSR rating covers four pillars: the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The ratings process looks at companies’ reports, policies, actions and activities related to corporate social responsibility.
In its assessment, EcoVadis recognized Lenzing’s transparency, including our reporting on sustainability progress. We were also acknowledged for our efforts to support the environment, ethics and human rights.
Lenzing is on the path to net zero carbon emissions by 2050, and we have taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint in production and beyond. We have also launched fiber varieties that enable the industry to reduce its own material sourcing impact.
Our employees follow business ethics and values that prevent corruption and conflicts of interest. Whistleblowing helps us get ahead of any potential problems or law violations, and we have systems in place to protect whistleblowers from retaliation.
In human rights, we foster a work environment that offers equal opportunity. We also support professional development with training programs.
“At Lenzing, we are working hard to make our industries more sustainable and to drive the transformation of the textile business model from a linear to a circular economy model,” said Stephan Sielaff, CEO of the Lenzing Group. “This attitude is firmly anchored in our strategy and corporate values. I am therefore particularly pleased to receive the highest rating from the internationally renowned organization and am proud that we as the Lenzing Group have now been awarded Platinum status for the third time.”
