Carved in Blue: What’s your favorite denim trend for Spring 2018?
Thomas: I live in a bubble of heritage denim where trends move slowly. But I did notice raw denim was on the catwalks when the Spring/Summer ‘18 collections were shown, which warms my heart. In the world of heritage fashion, I am excited about the Japanese-inspired looks we saw already last summer with wide-cut fatigue pants and Birkenstocks (although that is not denim). Few do this look better than OrSlow, if you ask me.
Carved in Blue: Where do you get your greatest denim inspiration from?
Thomas: Instagram.
Carved in Blue: What’s the one thing you’d like to see in denim that you haven’t seen anyone create yet?
Thomas: As a rather conservative denim geek, I believe the greatest thing in denim has already been created with the Levi’s 501.
Carved in Blue: If you could describe denim in one word, what would it be?
Thomas: Passion.
