Piero Turk Discusses the Modern Evolution of Jeans at Bluezone

Piero Turk has been an influential part of the denim business ever since he joined Adriano Goldschmied’s Genius Group in the early 1980s.
I’ve known Piero for years, but I never really heard his story. We sat down at Munich Fabric Start’s Bluezone show in September to discuss how he ended up in denim, and how denim’s has changed since he did.
Turns out that the very first store that Adriano opened in 1968, he did in collaboration with Piero’s mother, who was a tailor. After Piero quit his psychiatry studies, he called Adriano and asked for a job. Watch the video above to hear Piero himself tell his story.
