Celebrate Earth Month by Helping TENCEL™ and Brands Plant Trees

Across the apparel industry, TENCEL™ is known for helping retailers achieve great heights in the realm of sustainability and environmental responsibility. This year, TENCEL™ will celebrate Earth Day with its retail partners throughout the month of April by giving back to the earth.

The 2019 Earth Month campaign, titled “From Trees, For Trees,” will support One Tree Planted, a U.S.-based non-profit that plants trees across the globe in areas that see deforestation due to fires or flooding. Seven brands using TENCEL™ branded fibers, including BN3TH, Blue Salt, Triarchy Denim, Boyish Jeans, Bearaby, Hoot and Malouf, will donate to One Tree Planted to support replanting of the California forests devastated by the fires that destroyed 876,000 acres of forest last year.

Maximizing donations will be a group effort—and TENCEL™ will need the public’s help, too. From April 1 through April 30, anyone can like and share Earth Month-related posts on the Instagram channel of TENCEL™, as well as retail partners’ channels. For every 50 likes, and every 10 shares, one tree will be donated to the One Tree Planted organization. Additionally, each purchase of a TENCEL™ Lyocell or Modal product sold through their retail partner’s websites during the month of April will result in Lenzing donating one tree to One Tree Planted.

director of global business development for denim at Lenzing Fibers Inc. “It makes sense for us to take this opportunity to highlight TENCEL™ sustainable fibers and their connection to nature.”
