Scott Morrison’s Journey Back to Cool
To Scott Morrison jeans are the most democratic clothing in the world, and it pains the founder and president of 3×1 to operate in what feels like a “race to the bottom” as shoppers demand cheaper and faster products.
To rekindle his inner denimhead, Scott traveled to where his passion first began: Italy. There, he talked with Diesel’s Renzo, Stefano and Andrea Rosso to explore the irreverent brand that “dripped with cool” when Scott was a kid.
Alberto Candiani served as an executive producer to the “Common Thread” video, and as part of this, Scott chatted with him on how Lenzing’s TENCEL™ branded lyocell fibers are helping Candiani make fabric that’s soft, strong and sustainable.
Watch the video to hear from the pair about how they’re advancing the greater good of denim and where the industry could be in the next five years.
For a screening and discussion about Common Thread, join us on September 20th at the LA Fashion Festival.
