Here’s a look at how we’re making new fibers from discarded materials.
We apply our cellulose chemistry expertise to upcycle post-consumer and pre-consumer cotton waste into pulp and blend at the 30% level with wood pulp. This fiber is produced through a closed-loop solvent spinning process in the exactly same way as TENCEL™ Lyocell standard. The resultant fiber is branded as TENCEL™ x REFIBRA™ Lyocell and includes a fiber ID technology to enable full supply chain transparency. Now cotton waste is new again!
