Guess Eco is Everywhere

Guess is getting (even more) green.

After being offered in only Europe, the rest of the world can now wear the brand’s Eco line of sustainably made men’s and women’s wear. Eco Luxe denim—which comes in a variety of styles and washes—uses TENCELTM x REFIBRATM Lyocell fibers, made with upcycled industry cotton scraps and wood from responsibly managed forests. All of this denim is produced using water-saving and other earth-friendly techniques.

And it’s not just jeans: Eco includes knit tops and dresses made with TENCELTM Modal, and T-shirts and tanks made with 100 percent organic cotton. It’s even offering (for a limited a time) a reusable tote bag for qualifying purchases online and in stores.

Proving teamwork makes dreamwork, Guess called the line a grassroots effort from its design and sustainability teams. It marks the next step in the company’s goal to develop 25 percent of its denim and source 20 percent of its materials in line with its corporate green guidelines.

A luncheon was hosted in Los Angeles’ Abbott Kinney neighborhood to kick off the Guess Eco Denim collection. The assortment was unveiled to local influencers and press and included a spirited conversation about apparel and the planet.
