Slideshow: Inside The Circle Book

Collaboration is going to be key in driving sustainable change in the fashion industry. This is especially true for creating more circular garments.

In a single garment, there are numerous inputs—fabric, trims, dye and more—that all need to be considered to make clothing that can more easily be recycled. There also needs to be traceability and a full understanding of what these inputs are to enable a closed loop. This is the idea behind The Circle Book, a project developed by TENCEL™, Meidea and Officina+39.

Founded on the idea of “Act Together,” The Circle Book launched in 2020 as a digital treatise on what is possible in traceability and circularity. For the second edition, the project brought together 10 total partners to build a physical collection, which is on view at Bluezone through Sept. 1.

Click through the slideshow to see how the garments came together with help from Calik Denim, Tejidos Royo, Crafil, Dr. Bock Industries, Ribbontex, Spring 85 and RGT Laundry.
