43 Partners, 5 Fiber Solutions, 1 Vision: Lenzing Pavilion drives collaborative Innovation at Intertextile Shanghai

The 2025 Intertextile Shanghai Autumn/Winter Fabrics Exhibition pulsed with innovation as visitors entered the “Lenzing Pavilion,” where the Lenzing Group and 43 value chain partners joined forces to exemplify how strategic partnerships help propel innovative solutions that elevate the entire textile ecosystem.

Spanning the full textile journey—from fibers and yarns to fabrics and finished products—the pavilion brought together a diverse range of offerings crafted with TENCEL™ and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers from across the entire value chain. Under the theme “Made to Perform Better, Smarter,” the displays highlighted the versatility of Lenzing fibers and the shared commitment of Lenzing and its partners to contribute to a more sustainable textile future.1, 2

“China’s expansive market scale and robust industrial foundation serve as the ‘dual engines’ of the global textile value chain, holding key significance for Lenzing’s global strategy,” noted Rohit Aggarwal, CEO of Lenzing AG. “We consistently expand our China presence with a localized mindset while building innovation communities with Chinese partners to play our part in driving global textiles forward.”1

This partnership-driven approach transforms traditional exhibition dynamics, demonstrating how collaborative innovation creates competitive advantages that individual companies cannot achieve alone.

Five strategic fiber solutions address market-specific needs

Central to the pavilion’s impact, Lenzing spotlighted five of its latest fiber solutions: TENCEL™ Lyocell – A100, TENCEL™ Lyocell – LF, TENCEL™ Lyocell – Micro, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose, and LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose – Black fibers. Each fiber type offers distinct characteristics in functionality and texture, all produced through resource-efficient processes.3

“Our five solutions are widely applicable and show strong potential, with innovative uses in apparel, home textiles, pet accessories and packaging products,” explained Florian Heubrandner, vice president, global business management textiles of Lenzing AG.

“This comprehensive approach represents our long-term strategy, as these versatile fibers enable weavers, brands and other downstream enterprises to enhance technology, grow their markets and embrace the opportunities in transitioning to a sustainable textile industry,”1, 2 added Hu Yanjun, senior commercial director, textile China and general manager of Lenzing Fibers (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

Digital innovation transforms partnership efficiency

Complementing the physical showcase at the Lenzing Pavilion was the live demonstration of Lenzing Pro, a newly launched integrated digital platform designed to streamline collaboration across the value chain. Partners can now gain one-stop access to fiber specifications, certifications and marketing resources quickly and efficiently.

“Previously complex procedures have become an intuitive experience through Lenzing Pro,” highlighted Eva McGeorge, senior global director marketing & branding, commercial textiles at Lenzing AG. From innovative product development to marketing campaign implementation, the platform represents Lenzing’s commitment to empowering collaboration that is faster, simpler and with greater transparency than ever before.

Sharing knowledge, inspiring change

Beyond the bustling exhibition floor, conversations continued in forum sessions, where Lenzing executives joined industry peers to exchange ideas on technological innovation, the circular economy and functional applications. On stage, Chen Zhen Fan, global technology development manager, walked through Lenzing’s circular production model,1 illustrating Lenzing’s proven practices in fiber innovation and application. Florian Heubrandner discussed practical applications of REFIBRA™ technology and highlighted collaborations with like-minded industry peers such as Södra and Orange Fiber. Wang Yanmin, business development manager of functional wear, textile China, explored Lenzing’s nature-inspired creative concepts and the journey of three generations of cellulose fiber innovation.

From fiber innovation and transformative digital tools to strategic knowledge sharing and cross-value chain partnerships, Lenzing’s presence at Intertextile Shanghai embodied a fundamental truth: Sustainability in textiles requires collective vision, not siloed effort. The Lenzing Pavilion brought that collaborative spirit to life, showing how strategic partnerships drive industry-wide transformation toward a more responsible textile future.1, 2
