Denimsandjeans Show Vietnam Gathered International Industry Players
Last week, the TENCEL™ Denim team was in Ho Chi Minh City for the latest edition of Denimsandjeans Show Vietnam.
Held on June 26-27 at Riverside Palace located in District 4, the sixth edition of the show attracted a total 37 exhibitors from 10 different countries including China, Türkiye, the United States, India, Pakistan, Japan, Singapore, Bangladesh, Switzerland and Vietnam. A wide range of categories were represented—from fabric, trim and garment, to dyes, chemicals and technology.
Mills were showcasing their new innovative collections, and we were impressed that TENCEL™ was a hot topic among the show participants. We noticed articles containing TENCEL™ at almost all the booths. It was a great opportunity for the TENCEL™ Denim Team to exchange ideas and get up-to-date market info from the denim community. We felt the energy from this new spotlight country. We had the chance to meet our customers not only from local Vietnam mills, but also engage with overseas manufacturers for development discussions. On the other hand, we met the international buying and trading offices to exchange innovation concepts. Besides, we connected our supply chain partners—from spinning mills to fabric mills to garment manufacturers—toward buyers.
With the theme “Room to Roam,” the event put a focus on oversized denim and the “comfort and ease” that comes with relaxed silhouettes. The event included a Denim Trend Area and a consumer-facing Denim Bazaar that showcased products from artisan denim brands hailing from across Vietnam. Exhibitors showcased the innovative applications with trendy outfits and designs that pushed the event towards the latest denim looks.
Denim influencers were also invited for Denim Talks about topics ranging from technology and trend info to education during the two-day event. It was really a great platform to gather all industry partners for more collaboration.
