Maria is a specialist in technical design, visual merchandising and sustainable solutions.
With a passion for creating products that combine quality, functionality and exceptional fit, she believes that every successful garment begins with thoughtful design and careful attention to detail throughout the entire development process.
The name AMK stands for Anna, Maria, Krestina—names inherited from the creative women in her family. Growing up in the Swedish countryside, Maria developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, longevity and the value of giving products a second life.
Inspired by the women who shaped her, Maria’s approach to design is rooted in sustainability and mindful creation. Her mother, Anna-Krestina, instilled the belief that nothing should go to waste and that everything has the potential for a new purpose. Her grandmother, Anna-Stina, worked with natural dyes and inspired Maria with her creativity, resourcefulness and positive outlook on life. These values continue to influence Maria’s work and her commitment to creating products with care for both people and the planet.
Based in Amsterdam and working internationally, Maria collaborates with brands across the globe, offering both remote consultancy and on-site project support. Through her expertise, she helps businesses develop beautiful, functional and sustainable products while sharing knowledge that empowers teams to create with greater purpose and responsibility.
