Episode 605: Björn Bengtsson

This Blue Cast episode, Tuncay Kilickan talks with Björn Bengtsson, chief product and supply chain officer at Untuckit LLC.
Björn has spent the past 35 years in the fashion industry holding various senior management positions. He has worked as a vice president for Marc O’Polo, Oxford Industries, and Hartmarx Corp. in charge of product development, merchandising, sourcing and production and for Theory as a vice president of design and creative director for menswear. He also operated his own consulting business from 1994 to 1999 working with a variety of clients on new brand initiatives. From 2008 to 2015 he was employed by Greg Norman Collection in charge of design and fabric research for the men’s and women’s collections as well as all licensed products.
Björn is currently the chief product and supply chain officer at Untuckit LLC, one of the fastest growing men’s e-commerce companies in the U.S., where he is leading the company’s merchandising, product development design, technical design and production department.
For the past 20 years, Björn Bengtsson has also worked as a part time adjunct professor at Parsons School of Fashion, where he teaches in the Fashion Management Master Program and is a prominent member of Parsons Executive Learning team. He has conducted numerous seminars and panels on fashion-related topics for corporations and educational institutions based in the U.S, France, Hong Kong, Macedonia and China.
He is twice the recipient of the Parsons School of Fashion’s “Outstanding Faculty Award.”
Björn holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Lund University, School of Economics and Management (Lund, Sweden) and an A.A.S. degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York, NY).
