Slideshow: What You Missed at Amsterdam Denim Days
We always look forward to Amsterdam Denim Days as a chance to connect with other members of the denim community. This year, the show looked different with a new digital format, but the fun continued from Oct. 30 to 31.
During the event, one of the main focuses was sustainability. White Weft’s Janelle Hanna spoke about her pieces made of upcycled jeans and showed the audience how she and her team repair and repurpose denim. Meanwhile, Officina+39 and Blue of a Kind spoke about their sustainable collaboration.
At Denim Days, we also got a chance to see new and one-off collections. Scotch & Soda tapped emerging designer Florian Regtien to customize three denim jackets. And Bluestates debuted “Thrills & Spills,” a line made specially for the show.
