TENCEL™ Plants Trees and Awareness During Earth Month

At Lenzing, every day is a good time to prioritize sustainability, but Earth Day creates an opportunity for the entire world to come together in service of environmental protection.

This year, TENCEL™ branded fibers are turning Earth Day into a month-long celebration of doing good for the planet. Throughout April, our #checkwhatsgood campaign is inviting shoppers to make better purchasing decisions and to discover the sustainable story behind the TENCEL™ brand logo. TENCEL™ fibers feel good, look good and also do good for the environment. Made of wood using low-impact production processes, TENCEL™ fibers are naturally soft and durable, and it’s also biodegradable.

For Earth Month, we’re partnering with more than 50 brands, including some of our denim customers such as Boyish, Mavi, Bleed, Espirit, Peter Hahn, Selected Femme/Homme, Capitan Denim and more to get the word out. We’re also collaborating with 25 influencers, five NGOs and two designers. Follow the conversation with the #checkwhatsgood hashtag and on our @tencel_usa, @tencel_europe and @tencel_turkey accounts. Stay tuned for quizzes, raffles, live sessions and more on our global digital channels.

We’re also inviting you to get involved on social media with an Instagram “good” filter. Use the filter and post using the hashtag #checkwhatsgood to show us what you think is good. For every post with the filter and hashtag, we’ll be donating a tree through the nonprofit One Tree Planted, up to 10,000 trees. This is our third consecutive year working with One Tree Planted, and we’re proud to be one of the 100 companies committing to the organization’s Million Tree Challenge to reforest California after devastating wildfires.

Check out our Earth Day video below. We look forward to seeing your own take on what’s “good.”
