Nashville Denim Days Offers a Peek At The Future of Blue
The first Nashville Denim Days, sponsored by TENCEL™ Fibers, took place Nov. 10th and 11th, and the two-day denim festival and shopping event proved a hit with denim lovers from all over.
Held at the city’s Marathon Music Works, Nashville Denim Days featured interactive displays, indigo dyeing workshops, it showcased new denim designers alongside more established brands, and had denim mills along for the ride, too.
More than that, the festival’s Denim Talks helped highlight what’s new and next in denim.

Nashville Goes Blue for Denim Days
Nashville secured its place as a burgeoning denim city over the weekend with the first annual Nashville Denim Days.
The two-day shopping event took place Nov. 10-11 at the Tennessee city’s Marathon Music Works with a mixed bag of local vendors and retailers, indigo dyeing workshops, customization opportunities and interactive displays—including an e3 Cotton pool where attendees took a dip primed for Instagram photos.
Day two of the event included Denim Days Clinton Street Festival, where festival-goers shopped vintage threads and were entertained by a roster of musical performances sponsored by new Louisiana-based mill Vidalia Mills.
Local brand Imogene + Willie launched phase one of “Kill Your Jeans,” its new denim recycling program. The brand invited denim heads to exchange a pair of unwanted Imogene + Willie jeans for a $100 voucher to use toward a new pair at its Nashville store.

Nashville Denim Days – Art + Denim Meet!
The Nashville Denim Days Festival took place on November 10th and 11th, 2018, and it was not only about denim. The festival coincided with the Nashville Art Week, so this was all about where denim meets art or vice versa. Couldn’t be a better partnership … right!
“The community in Nashville welcomed Denim Days with a strong Southern welcome. Country music and local art were perfectly paired with denim. Customers browsed the tree to denim display and TENCEL™ Denim garments from 3×1, Godfather of Denim, Mavi, Paulita Carlotta, Reformation and Triarchy. Other brands presenting their denims at the festival were Madewell, Able, Kings of Indigo, and Rising Sun, as well as Imogene and Willie.”
