Top 5 Things We Can’t Wait to Do at Bluezone
Munich Fabric Start and Bluezone (Feb 4th-5th) are just around the corner, with this year’s event held under the theme of “Ecoism.”
As the only trade show dedicated solely to denim, the 2020 Bluezone is fixing up to be one for the ages, with a second hall opening up to host about 100 suppliers. Now Hall 7, known as the All Star Mills Bluezone, will host denim, washes, finishes and processes for denim-, street- and sportwear brands. Hall 6, meanwhile, will emphasize sustainability, showcasing special denim blueprints from heritage brands in the Catalyzer Bluezone.
Here’s a rundown of the top things that we can’t wait for.
1. SDW Hardwear
The Sustainable Denim Wardrobe Hardwear collection will be on view. It’s an extremely fitting experience as the TENCEL™ x Jeanologia® x Endrime® collab was actually inspired by a Denim History lecture at Bluezone last year. (Learn more about it here.)
2. The Keyhouse
This innovation hub is a hot spot for textiles, fabrics and sustainable technologies, with the future of fashion firmly in the spotlight.
3. Education
Lectures, panels and keynotes abound at Bluezone. “How Toxic Are My Clothes?” will be screened at the Keyhouse, while David Shah will speak in “The 10 Pillars of Design” keynote.
4. Collaboration
Catching up with industry friends is what makes trade shows so special. We’re looking forward to seeing the new developments in TENCEL™ x REFIBRA™ Denim from Azgard 9, Bossa, Calik, Candiani, DNM, Dynamo, Seazon, Kipas, Orta, Prosperity, Royo, Santanderina, Tusa, Vicunha, and more.
5. Food and fun!
Snacking weisswurst and brezen while talking denim over a few beers? Yes, please.
